Privacy Policy — MCPing
Effective date: September 6, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how MCPing ("the App") handles information. By installing or using the App, you agree to this policy.
1. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following on your device only, to provide monitoring, notifications, widgets, and history:
- Minecraft server addresses (host and port), display names, and preferences
- Monitoring history, cached status data, and notification settings
This data is not transmitted to the developer. It is deleted when you remove a server from the App, and all local App data is removed when you uninstall the App.
2. Network requests
- Direct status checks connect to the server address you enter.
- If a direct check fails, the App may request public status data from the mcsrvstat.us service. That request includes the server host and port being checked. mcsrvstat.us applies its own privacy policy and caching.
- The App does not collect Minecraft account credentials or gameplay data.
3. Advertising
The App displays banner ads via Google AdMob and collects consent via Google User Messaging Platform where required. AdMob may collect your advertising ID and device information in accordance with Google's policies and your device's advertising controls. This App contains ads. Development builds use Google's test ad units.
4. Data retention and your controls
Server entries and history are kept until you delete them. You can delete a server and its history at any time in the App, or remove all data by uninstalling the App.
5. Security
Fallback status requests use HTTPS. The App requests no sensitive device permissions and collects no accounts, contacts, location, or credentials.
6. Children
The App is a general-purpose utility not directed at children. No age-gated data is knowingly collected.
7. Changes
Material changes to this policy will be reflected in an updated policy accompanying a new App version.
